OUR HORSES
PHOENIX
Phoenix is a Lipizzaner mare with descendants to the Spanish riding school in Vienna, Austria. Phoenix schools all Grand Prix dressage movements and has competed successfully at FEI levels in Wellington, Florida. After a rich and successful career, Phoenix is now happily working with riders of all abilities and she has a plethora to teach. Phoenix is truly one of a kind and we are proud to have a horse of her calibre as part of the Pripet Riding Program.
SKY HIGH 15
Sky is an imported Hanovarian gelding and part of our horse in residence program for specialised training with serious aspiring riders. His plan A for summer 2024 was the Paris Olympics for para dressage, his plan B was Pripet, and we are so happy that he is here! He has received a score of 80% in the young horse class, and has won competitions in Florida with scores in the 70s, receiving 8s and 9s on his walk.
CORDOBA
Cordoba is a Zangersheide gelding and our resident giant, standing at approximately 17.3 hands tall. Cordoba has competed in Grand Prix jumping in Wellington, Florida and New York. He competed in dressage at the 2020 Global Dressage festival in Wellington, and has continued to compete with riders of all experience levels at White Fences Equestrian Center in Loxahatchee, Florida. Cordoba has competed through 4th level, schooling FEI movements, and is an extremely sweet horse who loves to work and is ready to school FEI tempi changes and Grand Prix movements whenever he is asked.
MOOSE
Moose is an Oldenburg and a very sweet boy. He has competed as a hunter/jumper with great success, and won his first global dressage festival with a score of over 70% in 2019. Moose spent this winter training with Barton Patrick in Wellington, Florida. He qualified at Region 8 championships to participate at dressage finals in Kentucky against all top horses in the United States at his level, and has shown through 3rd level in Wellington, Florida.
KOKOA
Kokoa is an Oldenburg gelding and this is his sixth year at Pripet. Kokoa was a part of the German equestrian team for driving before being imported to the US to begin his dressage training. Kokoa went on to compete and be very competitive at 2nd level dressage. He is very happy to return for another season with us, and is ready to school dressage or go on a trail ride with riders of all experience levels.
SALEM
Salem is a Friesian gelding and is a wonderful horse for all levels of riders. He has spent many summers with us at Pripet. Salem has basic dressage training and has competed and won at dressage at Saratoga. Salem enjoys jumping as well.
CRICKET
Cricket is a pinto pony mare and a true Mainer, born and bred in this great state. She is a long time Pripet favorite, working especially with our younger riders. She has a lot of heart in a little package, and we are so lucky to have her back for another summer.
WINSTON
Winston is an imported Swedish warmblood arriving for his first season at Pripet after a winter of training in Wellington, Florida. He formerly competed successfully as a hunter, and is now schooling third and fourth level dressage. Winston is a big horse with lovely movement, and is very kind to all riders.
